Here's another great blog post by PubNub CEO Todd Greene which summarizes the importance of Digital Twins as a virtual representation of real-world counterparts. Know my non-technical friends/colleagues will not get it at first, but the promise is quite real. Just think: you can now create a digital twin that is essentially a digital version of a physical counterpart. What can you do with that? A lot, with impact spanning Healthcare (e.g., simulate surgical procedures, personalize treatment plans, etc.) to Sustainability (e.g., optimize energy use, predict grid disruptions, etc.), Manufacturing (e.g., optimize production lines, predict failures, etc.), Automotive (e.g., design and develop new vehicles, test/validate new tech and driving experiences, etc.), Aerospace (e.g., simulate flight conditions, predict maintenance needs, etc.), and wherever innovative businesses choose to use Digital Twins as part of their digitally transformed future.
