Huge shoutout to CenterPoint Energy for the incredible progress they’re making with the Greater Houston Readiness Initiative! ?? These efforts are setting the standard for grid resilience and storm preparedness.
Since launching Phase Two of #GHRI five months ago, and with the 2025 hurricane season on the horizon, we’ve been hard at work to deliver on our commitment to build the most resilient coastal grid in the country. In the last four weeks, we’ve installed an additional approximately 1,800 more storm-resilient poles, installed more than 750 automated reliability devices and cleared approximately 400 more miles of power lines with high-risk vegetation. These actions will help reduce both the number and duration of outages and once complete, will lead to more than 125 million fewer outage minutes each year.
