Last week, RevoData hosted local Amsterdam university students as part of the Databricks NL University Alliance program. Christèl van den Hoek and Victor B. showcased a compelling data streaming and ML use case utilized by various Dutch municipalities to analyze and predict cracks in dyke walls using Databricks. They detailed the problem statement, approach, and engaged in a discussion with the students on technical challenges and outcomes. The session highlighted how data engineers leverage the Databricks platform to address real-world issues. Following the presentation, students had the opportunity to interact with co-Founder, Ralph K., and other Revodata team members, gaining insights into the company and sharing their future plans. Appreciation goes to Leah Cullen, Ralph K., Paul Leventis, Liza Davidov, and Thijs Tiedemann for their partnership! Excited for the upcoming events.

She'll demonstrate how to develop a class project using GCP components in conjunction with Databricks. Professor Woodbridge earned her MS and PhD in Computer Science from UCLA. Her research interests include scalable database management systems, data fusion, and machine learning, with a focus on remote health monitoring. At USF, she has taught various courses including distributed computing, distributed data systems, relational databases, and web application development.
