What is lead generation and networking as a Founder/Lead Data Consultant like? ?? Lately I've seen a few posts on networking as a data consultant. I figured it'd be worth chiming in here. ?? Over the last two weeks I have been less in the weeds with SQL and more on the front lines talking with executives, partner boards and other data consultants in the industry. Since networking as a term can be used so broadly, I wanted to highlight a few specific activities I've been up to for planting beneficial seeds as we approach 2024. 1. Meeting with CEOs and Partner Boards of other Consulting Firms With a strong focus on the central Ohio region, I've been making it a point to establish relationships with other software consulting firms in the Columbus, Ohio area. These meetings are used to highlight some of the industries, tools, projects and operating structure I've been working on in the last year with Steinert Analytics. The meetings typically last an hour and involve c-suite executives including the CEO, COO and CIO of given firms. Being new to the space, it's all about transparency and demonstrating the value you've provided to your clients' data stack. 2. Doubling down on vendor partner relationships through organic connections and networks Having a partnership with a high growth analytics tool going into 2024 is helping with potential opportunities next year. Furthermore, looking at your current client base and questioning how you may be able to leverage your partnerships on current engagements is another source for fruit production on both sides in the coming year. ?? 3. Continue delegation planning Right now I'm in the search for a digital marketing and/or virtual assistant to help automate a lot of my outreach being done on LinkedIn and Facebook. With this thought, I'm starting to craft a more carefully built pitch deck that will be complimented by case studies in the coming year. 4. Podcast appearances and beginning conversations with central Ohio data leaders to come on my podcast in 2024 My previous post highlighted a great business podcast I just went on this week. Additionally, I'm already starting conversations with Columbus area data leaders and excited to be bringing Data & Impact - a Passion2Knowledge Experience to video with a more professional recording studio presence. Of course, all of these activities never guarantee a return. However, this ride has already been filled with thrills and I cannot wait to see what next year's energy brings!
