[New Podcast Episode] “It's literally impossible. And we don't even have the tools to track that right now. It's pieces of paper and a bill of goods. But, now there's going to be attestations to ensuring that for example, the cobalt didn't come from a conflict area. How do you do that? You put a sticky note on the cobalt as it goes up? So there's a lot of solutions needed for compliance. But by the way, let's not leave out-- So California and New York, both have sustainability reporting regulation or laws in effect now. They're not quite as stringent as the EU's, but California, for example, if you are a billion-dollar company, a billion dollars in revenue, doing business in California and the definition of doing business: that's exactly what it says. So that's going to be pretty much every billion-dollar company in the U.S. has to report on their scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. So it's already starting in the U.S. and of course, in the U.S. And, I'm not a lawyer.
