关于我们

Data Action Partners brings a data-first point of view to our project engagements: we know that value to the business is created (or lost) in data. DAP’s expert data practice covers data migration and integrations, custom analytics, data science and engineering, solutions prototyping, and enterprise technical project management. We are fluent cross-functional technologists who work directly with executives to triage critical business needs and deliver solutions to acute problems. We are glue agents who transition from client-facing to engineering leadership roles as needed to fill gaps in capacity. This posture ensures nothing is lost in translation. DAP is available for direct as well as sub-contracting engagements. We have extensive experience in the government and non-profit sectors as well as industry expertise in finance, health care, green energy, and education.

We’re pleased to introduce ourselves as Data Action Partners! Founded in 2023, our expert data practice is focused on hands-on data work as well as designing and building technology solutions and digital infrastructure. We are specialists in maximizing the value of data and technology in public sector operations and service delivery. With over two decades of combined experience in NYC government, our founders have been difference-makers on projects with DSS, H+H, OTI, NYCHA, and the Department of Finance. You’ll see us play a variety of roles in a project - data engineer, business analyst, technical lead, developer, project manager, and product owner are a few we routinely perform. We often cover multiple roles at once, filling gaps in capacity and adapting to resource constraints to tackle problems that are blocking progress. In every project and role, we bring a data-first point of view to our work. This means we are continually asking ourselves and our partners: Who needs data and for what purposes? What problems can we solve by making data usable, understandable, maintainable, and actionable? What tools are needed to accomplish this? What business processes or operational challenges are helped or hindered by the current data ecosystem? What are the major obstacles? What are the major wins that require technical (or institutional) breakthroughs? What can we measure to know if we’re succeeding or failing? If you need help answering these questions, partner with us! Marcus and John
