DWLA Scholars recently had the opportunity to spend time with Priya Balasubramaniam, making a memorable moment for Cohorts 2 and 3 who were meeting her for the first time, while Cohort 1 was thrilled to engage with her once again. It was inspiring to hear about Priya's early career journey and gain insight into her current leadership at Apple. The accelerator is deeply grateful for her dedication to creating exceptional opportunities for students at Broad. Thank you Priya Balasubramaniam for taking the time to visit and return to Michigan State University's beautiful campus. We look forward to future conversations and hope to welcome you back soon!

Today (12/6/24) the Dashney Women's Leadership Accelerator (DWLA) welcomed new members and celebrated our first graduates. A shout-out to Khadija Kapuswala, Symone King, and Rijul Mahajan on their upcoming commencement. A special thank you to Dean David Souder and Priya Balasubramaniam for joining us. The DWLA launched on 12/8/23. We are grateful to the many other people who have supported our first year. As the Director of MSU WISE (Women Impacting Supply Chain Excellence) I had the opportunity to plan a Women in Supply Chain Panel with the help of Aleeza Rana. The Panel focused on inspiring and empowering the next generation of female leaders. We were joined by amazing speakers— Marlo Vitous, Kara Grasso, Amy McKeown Scott, and Denise Kingstrom Fernandez. Seeing our hard work come to fruition was truly rewarding. The event was a success, with an excellent turnout and a generous donation from our panelists. I couldn’t be prouder of the impact we are making through MSU WISE. A heartfelt thank you to Professor William Milne, and the entire MSU Supply Chain Management Association Executive Board for your invaluable support.

The Dashney Women's Leadership Accelerator (DWLA) had a very special session today hosting MSU First Lady Amy Guskiewicz for a fireside chat. She shared her thoughts on "zigzag" careers, the importance of surrounding yourself with good people (including those with different perspectives who challenge your thinking), and the value of "choosing joy" when life inevitably gets messy. Her genuine authenticity resonated with all of us.
