We are proud and excited to share that a member of the Darling family, James Reaves, son of our controller, Jerry Reaves, is a recipient of a 2024 Congressional Award Gold Medal. James was in Washington DC last week to receive his award and was able to meet Senator Lindsey Graham, Senator Tim Scott, and Representative Russell Fry. The?Congressional Award Gold Medal?is the?U.S. Congress’ highest honor for youth. It recognizes young people who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to personal development, community service, and physical fitness. To earn this prestigious award, participants must complete the following requirements: Minimum of?400 hours?of community service, engage in?200 hours?of activities that enhance personal growth and skills, dedicate?200 hours?to physical fitness and well-being, and undertake a?five-day, four-night?expedition or exploration.
