A delicious collaboration three years running ?? ??. ? Dairy Farmers of Washington and Darigold have been partnering with The Pastry Project for three years now to share uplifting stories about the students who have walked through the bakery's doors. ? This year, our friends at Dairy Farmers of Washington put a spotlight on Juanita Hernandez and her journey through The Pastry Project's free, 14-week baking and pastry job skills program. ? We were proud to lend our support for the video project and happy to see our products being used to help train these future bakers.

Water Savings in Action: Inside the Darigold and Seattle Public Utilities Partnership! ?? ?? Darigold and Seattle Public Utilities are working together to create a more efficient, sustainable, and environmentally conscious way of doing business. ? In 2021, we laid the ground work to get a new tank-cleaning system into our Rainier plant. One that will not only save Darigold money on cleaning costs, but also help to save one of our region's most important resources; water.? ? With help and backing from Seattle Public Utilities, we successfully implemented the new water saving system this year, which has seen a net reduction of 405 gallons of water used per wash, which could save the city of Seattle an estimated 3,038,400 gallons of water a year, almost 7 Olympic sized swimming pools! ??♀? ??♂? ? With help from the knowledge of various Darigold and Seattle Public Utilities employees, we documented this partnership and found out just how important water conservation is to our region and all of the life within it in the video below.

We’re excited to see our new production facility in Pasco, WA taking shape. ?? Once it is complete, it will employ about 200 and have the capacity to process about 8 million pounds of milk per day! ?? Read more in the Tri-City Herald article below.
