In February, Darana Hybrid hosted the Workforce Innovation Center at The Cincinnati Regional Chamber’s first employer tour of 2025 at our Hamilton, Ohio facility. This event, organized in collaboration with the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Partnership (AMIP), showcased our renovated manufacturing space, internal training programs, veteran upskilling initiatives, and youth outreach efforts—from elementary programs to community college partnerships. During the tour, we highlighted our commitment to employee advancement, including skill development, industry-recognized credentials, and mentorship from experienced professionals. This summer, Darana Hybrid was thrilled to sponsor the Summer Manufacturing Institute Camp, a collaborative initiative hosted with North End Community Improvement Collaborative, Inc (NECIC), EPIK Ltd., and supported by U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown's office. Held in Richland County, this program provided a dynamic platform for students from grades 5-8 to delve into sustainability and manufacturing. Our engagement equipped these young innovators with specialized educational kits and a curriculum developed by our partners at EPIK Ltd., empowering them to tackle real-world challenges through hands-on projects and teamwork. Camp Highlights: - Interactive Sessions: Students engaged in water sustainability projects using Darana Hybrid's cutting-edge electrical and hydropower kits. - Educational Tours: Visits to local manufacturing facilities and infrastructure showcased the practical applications of their newfound skills. The curriculum and project materials from this camp are now available to communities throughout Ohio, ensuring that the impact of this wonderful initiative will extend far and wide. Darana Hybrid, Inc. and TMF Metal Solutions were thrilled to host the second annual AMIP teacher externships! This year, we welcomed dedicated educators from Norwood and Princeton schools. Our externs teamed up with our community development and training team to dive into our advanced manufacturing and construction processes. They explored various job roles, discovering firsthand how these skills relate to their classroom teachings. The highlight of our program included participating in The Boys & Girls Club of Hamilton Innovators Camp. The teachers engaged in a hands-on class about electrical circuits and enjoyed an inspiring tour at 80 Acres Farms. We are immensely grateful to our partners and the enthusiastic involvement of our externs. Watching these experiences shape the futures of their students and their own professional paths is incredibly rewarding.
