Walk and Prayer for Ukraine. Having boots on ground, talking to the people, walking and driving in their streets, gives credence to our story.?Our job was to inspire hope, share spirtual wisdom, and aid those in need.?Our job was to listen, pray, take action to serve. Tragedy.?Every family has been touched by tragedy and loss since the invasion of Ukraine in Feb 2022.?It is a current war zone with a no-fly restricted airspace.?What many may not recall is that there was a prior conflict in 2014; the current war is a follow-on. Resilient Fighters.?We found the people to be resilient, kind, resourceful, and highly intelligent.?Our host, Roman, and his wife Anna are both brilliant young professionals and have such great business ideas.?We were especially honored to meet Ukrainian veterans, military men of valor, and hear their war stories.?Mission Ukraine, a Ukrainian and Korean church, prepare and send food to the troops going to the front line.?Roman and his companies are rebuilding their factories and producing quality products for export.?They are rebuilding their cities, the economy, and providing jobs. Faith.?Moreso, the people are people of faith in Jesus Christ, and the legacy of service and service to God is deep, going back many generations.?When Danny mentioned that he was a bodyguard for Billy Graham, that was a hit of a story and an instant connection.?The people of Ukraine are living and fighting, despite being in a war zone, despite the curfews and warning sirens; despite the drones flying above; despite having to take cover.?We are beyond impressed with the people of Ukraine, too many to mention in one blog post.?We were interviewed by Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN) Ukraine and UATV Espanol. #dannygarciawalkingman #globalwalkinc #usmcvietnamveteran #usafveteran

1?? Day 1. ???? We arrived at the Irpin hotel at 6 am (vua bus, 10 hours) and had our first meeting at 9 am. Astonishment Stillness, peace. I felt SAFE. How this city has rebounded and rebuilt so quickly is a testament to strength and determination. As a student of history, I recall the Marshall plan to rebuild Europe after WWII and the decades that followed. Here in Irpin, they have accelerated with the help of partners and supported. God gave us immense favor and access, as we met massively influensive man, whose grandfather was martyred for his faith. We met at the Christian Life Center, 17 acres devoted to Christian worship, activities, and development of leaders??. This country has a long history of the Baptist and Evangelical faith, and Gregorio Ivanovich has been with the greats of Christian faith including Billy Graham and too many historical figures to list. He and Danny Garcia Walking Man are the same age gifted us Ukrainian ???? bibles to share, and made calls to Christian media for events upcoming. Anna interpretted for us, and we met their three young children. We met Roman's Executive Assistant, Julia, who told us the story of the Road of Life, an Irpin bridge destroyed by friendlies to halt the advancement of adversaries into the capital, Kyiv. With the bridge destroyed, some 20,000 had to evacuate on ??, the elderly and disabled carried by soldiers in harsh winter conditions. The car cemetery where burned out cars were piled high. The real cemetery where defenders of Irpin are honored. Every city and town has this. The faith of the people inspires. I did not sense any self pity, hostility, or hatred, but resolve to survive as a nation. We ended the day with a Bible study for couples with small children, and heard their stories of family Christian influence. What great people and lovers of God.
