If you haven’t checked it out yet, now is the time to experience it! ‘No Ordinary Light’ at the DANK Haus presents a compelling exploration of light as much more than just brightness. Through the work of female artists, this exhibition examines light as both as action and a symbol—an invitation to pause, reflect, and consider how light can guide us through times of division and uncertainty. This thought-provoking show is open until April 26th—don’t miss your chance to witness art that offers both personal and collective insight. ?? Exhibition runs through April 26th. Welcome Sarah Meng - Our New(ish) Marketing Specialist at the DANK Haus! We're excited to introduce Sarah Meng as our new full-time Marketing Specialist at the DANK Haus. Sarah interned with us last summer and transitioned shortly after into a part-time role. As of this month. she is officially full-time, and we could not be more thrilled to have her on board! Originally from Tennessee, Sarah moved to Chicago last year and holds a degree in International Business and German from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. She also spent time in Mannheim, Germany, working with the International Office at Duale-Hochschule Baden-Württemberg, coordinating programs and logistics for incoming international students. In her position, Sarah manages everything from signage and social media to our monthly and mid-monthly newsletters, ensuring our community stays connected with all the exciting events at the DANK. This week, our students took the Deutsches Sprachdiplom Stufe I (DSD I) exam, an important certification proving B1-level German proficiency. This milestone is a key step for those looking to study in German, as it qualifies them for Studienkolleg—a one-year preparatory course that helps international students fulfill the academic and language requirements needed for university admission in Germany. ‘Ein gro?es Bravo‘ to all our test-takers for their hard work and dedication—wir drücken euch die Daumen as you await your results! ?????? #DSDI #DSD #StudyInGermany
