The Caramma support bottle by caramma is the first air-free bottle that allows feeding in any natural position, with or without breast milk, promoting connection and stimulating oxytocin to soothe both parents and babies. Its patented vent system mimics the mammary gland, empowering babies to control their rhythm with natural pauses, fostering healthy eating habits, and preventing overfeeding. Half of all mothers in the EU and US struggle, and only 10% meet the Danish Health Authority’s recommended six months of breastfeeding. As parental roles evolve and new laws across Europe boost leave for fathers, the bottle arrives at the right time ?? Designed with circular principles, the bottle is made for easy disassembly, recycling, and disinfection, thus reducing waste. Its foldable design supports efficient transport, minimizing its environmental impact ?? Through a well-researched and well-documented solution, it introduces a novel way of fostering a sense of belonging. The design stands out by its strong character, grounded in a deep understanding of purpose and effect. Beautiful in every sense of the word, this design solution reinvents outdated models that we live by sharing the experience of breastfeeding with all caregivers. Some families break apart, parents lose their jobs, and children’s development is put on hold. The world of hospitals can feel foreign and overwhelming, especially for children and young people, who experience a significant loss of control ???? At Mary Elizabeths Hospital - Riget for b?rn, unge og gravide, new spaces are created for children, young people, and pregnant women, with room for both joy and sorrow – and, above all, support in finding a way back to everyday life. The Jury says ??? “MARYS is a marker of design's progress in 2024 and where it’s headed: tackling significant societal issues with a grand and grounded approach deeply connected to essential needs in today's world. The project goes beyond reimagining healthcare; it’s a call to designers and decision-makers to bring purpose and aesthetics into spaces that shape our lives.?MARYS sets a new benchmark, showing how design can make healthcare more than a clinical experience – it's transformative, meaningful, and humane.” The Design Concept for the Future Hospital Experience is a collaborative effort between Region Hovedstaden, Ole Kirk's Fond, and Rigshospitalet. Meet our finalist, MODU ?? The first years of a child’s life are crucial for growth and learning, shaping lifelong health and success. MODU is originated from the need for a dynamic, age-adapting toy that can provide long-lasting value during early childhood, where children undergo rapid changes. The concept is an ecosystem consisting of foam blocks, connector pegs, and wheels that can be assembled into multiple functional constructions –?from active toys like rocking horses and ride-ons to furniture and toys for pretend play, like a kids’ stool or a play kitchen ???? Based on snap- and press-fit connections and made from 100% recyclable mono-materials, the solution is designed for easy component replacement and recyclability, prolonging the overall lifecycle ?? They use algorithms to analyze thousands of routing options in seconds, determining the most efficient route based on vessel capability, itinerary, weather, and commercial factors. M?ller Architects and K?benhavns Kommune makes it easy for citizens to separate household waste in public spaces, supporting the city’s 2024 recycling goals ?? The system is designed to maximize recycling in limited spaces, with easy-to-maintain parts that a single person can replace. With 200 sorting points already in place, the system enhances user accessibility, improves collection efficiency, and encourages a shared commitment to sustainability among Copenhagen’s citizens ??
