FUN FACTS ABOUT NIKOLA TESLA'S PRIVATE LIFE Nikola Tesla, the Serbian inventor and engineer born in 1856, demonstrated an astonishing ingenuity from a young age. One day, convinced that he could fly, he decided to throw himself off the roof of his family farm with an umbrella. The experiment did not go as expected, and he spent six weeks with his leg in traction, which led him to abandon his hypothesis of flight. Tesla claimed to have an exceptionally acute hearing, capable of perceiving sounds as distant as the whistle of a steam engine 30 km away, or even the noise of a fly landing on a table. However, his true passion was electricity, an interest that he awakened at the age of three when he observed the sparks caused by static electricity in the fur of his cat Macak. This curiosity led him to reflect: "Is nature a gigantic cat? If so, who scratches its back?". Throughout his career, Tesla developed unusual ideas. He recommended electricity to stimulate less active students and created a vibrating platform to treat constipation. His friend, the famous writer Mark Twain, was a regular user of this invention, with quite urgent results. Tesla never married, arguing that marriage would hamper his creative genius. He once told an interviewer that he could not name any great inventions created by married men. His views on women were influenced by his aversion to women's jewelry and his inability to touch other people's hair unless absolutely necessary. Obsessive-compulsive, Tesla had a peculiar obsession with the number 3. He insisted that the hotel room where he stayed had a number divisible by three. At the Hotel New Yorker, where he spent his last years, he lived in room 3327, on the 33rd floor. Before entering the hotel, he would walk around the block three times, and everything he used, from the sheets to the cutlery, had to comply with his rule of three. Tesla had an intense fear of germs and demanded that everything he used be sterilized. He even personally cleaned each item before use, armed with 18 napkins. He predicted that he would live to be 140, believing that alcohol was an elixir of long life, but after Prohibition, he gave it up. On January 7, 1943, Tesla was found dead by a waitress who ignored the “Do Not Disturb” sign on his bedroom door. Thus ended the life of a man whose legacy continues to enlighten the world.

What People See vs. What They Don’t See Success isn’t just the final product—it’s the hard work, late nights, rejections, and countless sacrifices that most people never notice. Behind every "success" story are struggles, discipline, and persistence that drive people forward, even when things get tough. It’s a reminder that the path to success is filled with challenges, but it’s those very obstacles that make the journey worthwhile. Keep pushing forward. ??
