We can create a more sustainable #water and #wastewater industry! Using emerging technologies such as variable speed drives, reverse osmosis and green #hydrogen, utilities can reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions while meeting growing water demands. Yesterday, at LA Sanitation & Environment Hyperion Wastewater Treatment Plant in Los Angeles, Calif., Danfoss and The Trade Council of Denmark in North America - Energy and Environment Water Technology Alliance brought together policymakers, industry experts and thought leaders for a “Decarbonizing Water” discussion on how to chart a path forward toward more sustainable water policy and infrastructure. Danfoss is committed to developing solutions that increase the supply of available drinking water as well as use water more efficiently, such as our variable frequency drive (VFD) solutions, high-pressure pumps and technologies such as #electrolyzers and power converters. In his opening remarks, Danfoss North America president Rick Sporrer noted, “Sustainable water management enhances a city's resilience to climate change impacts, ensuring continued access to essential services while offering long-term economic benefits for both governments and end-users.”? #EnergyEfficiency #Sustainability

Congratulations to ThermalWorks, winner of our 2024 EnVisioneer of the Year award in the System Integrator category! The company used the Danfoss Turbocor TGS 230 compressor, along with Danfoss valves, economizers, actuators, sight glass and filter driers, to create the RTU-250? critical cooling unit, an advanced roof-mounted air conditioner optimized for data center applications. Instead of using a traditional direct-expansion evaporator, the unit uses a flooded pumped-liquid overfeed evaporator. The pumped liquid evaporator design greatly simplifies refrigerant distribution tubing requirements and allows for free cooling (compressor stops) at lower ambient temperatures, with outside air not required for cooling in the winter. This results in 10 to 20% lower energy compared to traditional designs. #Sustainability #Innovation #EnergyEfficiency #DataCenters
