Happy Halloween from Danaher Cryo! In classic Danaher Cryo holiday fashion, here are a few fun and interesting facts about Halloween: Considered the precursor to the modern-day Halloween, Samhain was an ancient Celtic festival celebrated around 2,000 years ago. It was widely celebrated in modern day England, Scotland, Ireland and the Isle of Man. ? Carved turnips called?Jack-o-lanterns?began to appear, attached by strings to sticks and embedded with coal. Later Irish tradition switched to pumpkins. ? As?Christianity?gained a foothold in pagan communities, church leaders attempted to reframe Samhain as a Christian celebration. The first attempt was by Pope Boniface in the 5th century. He moved the celebration to May 13. ? In the 9th century, Pope Gregory moved the celebration back to the time of the fire festivals, but declared it All Saints’ Day, on November 1. With the night before being called All Hallows Eve, or Halloween. #Halloween2024 #HappyHalloween

Danaher Cryo's patent-pending DIRECT (Distributed Integrated Rapid Enhanced Cooling Technology) is a holistic cryostat cooling methodology, which distributes cooling throughout the complete cryostat. By producing cooling everywhere, instead of only in localized spots, system cooldown occurs much faster than usual. ?
