DallasMeetup is proud to announce that Ahava Silkey-Jones, Vice Provost, School of Creative Arts, Entertainment and Design at Dallas College, is our latest Featured Network to debut for November's mixer at The Rustic ?? ? Ahava holds a Master of Education in Arts in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Roosevelt University, and a Bachelor of Arts from DePaul University. She has over a decade of senior leadership experience in the arts / culture/ and education sectors. Ahava hails from the Midwest, where she served as an Arts High School Principal and Executive Director prior to transitioning to higher education when she joined Dallas College in 2022. Coupled with her work at Dallas College, Ahava gives back to the community by volunteering as a Board Member with Dallas Black Dance Theatre and as a member of Junior League of Dallas. She was recently selected and recognized by D CEO / D Magazine to their Emerging Women Leadership Network cohort. ?? ? DallasMeetup is proud to announce that Brian Sullivan, Director of User Research & Design Strategy at Sabre Corporation, is our latest Featured Networker to debut for November's mixer at The Rustic ?? Brian earned a BA in Political Science from The University of Texas at Arlington prior to to his Master of Art's degree in English Literature from University of North Texas. He then went on to receive an MBA in Management Information Systems from Dallas Baptist University. In his role at Sabre, Brian works with product, development, and design to build the next generation of products that will transform the travel industry. Brian is a leader in the design community in Dallas, where he is the Founder of Big Design Conference, which is entering its 20th year. Brian also runs the Dallas UX meetup with over 5,000 members. Brian has taught design classes at Southern Methodist University and University of North Texas to over 2,500 people. His students are working at PayPal, The Walt Disney Company, Amazon, Lyft, Meta, Cisco, and more. Brian is writing the second edition of his book called, The Design Method. He has been interviewed by WFAA, The Dallas Morning News, and The Austin Chronicle. Brian is a recognized industry speaker including SXSW International, Big Design Conference, IA Innovation Summit, UXPA International, User-Friendly China, CPSI, and UXPA Boston. He delivered the #1 talk at SXSW called Design Like DaVinci and the #1 workshop at SXSW called Pixel Perfect: Strategies for Managing Perfectionism.
