Women’s sports are having a moment! On Friday, I volunteered with the Dallas Trinity FC on behalf of the Dallas Sports Commission to witness a hat trick by Allie Thornton to put Trinity 6-2 over Lexington SC at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Fair Park Dallas. What women’s sports are you watching this fall? Dallas Trinity FC is the First Pro Women's Soccer Team in DFW. We’re excited to introduce Trysten Meadors as our new Events Intern. ????Trysten graduated from the University of Arkansas in May with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and a minor in Marketing. Most recently, Trysten gained valuable professional experience as an Event Specialist Intern at Primetime Sports, where he managed a network of youth basketball teams and engaged with sponsors and vendors. It was impressive to witness a recreational softball field transformed into an international stage for these talented young athletes. What a great night in front a packed crowd at the Dallas Wings' Inspiring Women Night. It was wonderful to hear from Dallas Wings' Amber Cox & LaDondra Wilson, Dallas Mavericks' Katie Edwards, Dallas Sports Commission's Monica Paul and Dallas Trinity FC' Dori Neil about the opportunities (and some challenges) that come with working in the sports space.
