In March we wear blue for colorectal cancer awareness month! Have you talk to your doctor about your risk of colorectal cancer and screenings recommended for you based on your risk? In Dallas County, colorectal cancer is the #4 most common form of cancer. Every year, about 29 new people will develop colorectal cancer in Dallas County and about 10 people will die from it. Early detection is key to improving treatment outcomes! 93% of people diagnosed at an early stage will still be alive 5 years later. This rate drops to 41% among those with late stage diagnoses. Get screened for colorectal cancer!
