How can art be harnessed for environmental advocacy? This is what Bianca Bondi approaches in her upcoming exhibit “a preservation method”, an immersive, multi-sensory installation drawing on her research on the 1965 Highway Beautification Act and Lady Bird Johnson's environmental activism in Texas. The Act, which aimed to protect native flora and fauna, has led to debates over highway construction and billboard placement in Texas which are ongoing to this day.
