International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day on November 21 is a time to honor and support those who have lost someone to suicide. Grieving such a loss is incredibly difficult, but you don’t have to go through it alone. Here are a few ways to find support: - Join a local or online support group: Connecting with others who’ve experienced a similar loss can be deeply healing. - Attend a remembrance event: These gatherings offer a space for reflection and support. - Reach out to a professional: Therapy can help you process your grief and navigate the complex emotions that come with loss.

This time of year can bring joy as well as stress. As we approach holiday season, we asked some of our DBHH staff how they handle stress. “I work out.” - Brian, activity specialist “I craft.” - Consuela, director of HIM “Smile and dance!” - Jennifer, RN House Sup “Stop and breathe. Think first.” - Cassandra, staff coordinator “I find a quiet place and meditate.” - Jason, MHT “I enjoy sitting on the porch reading a book and watching the sun set.” April, outpatient RN “I take a walk around my neighborhood. It’s peaceful because we live in the country.” - Daniela, outpatient coordinator And this one…. ?? “I never get stressed. I’m so happy.” Nabil, CFO ???? Thanks Nabil! He gave us a good laugh.
