Located in the northeast corner of downtown Dallas, the Dallas Arts District (DAD), a nonprofit organization, is the primary steward and representative for the largest urban arts district in the nation, spanning 118 acres since 1984. The Arts District uni?es culture and commerce into a dynamic destination for locals and tourists alike while creating a ful?lling urban experience. The district is powered by the imagination of artists globally, while seamlessly integrating exemplary artistic, residential, cultural, and commercial life. Oftentimes leisure travel campaigns get all the love in travel & tourism marketing, but trade (meetings & conferences) is BIG business and the lifeblood of many CVB/DMO's. I'm super proud of the new trade campaign Greenhaus created for Visit Dallas. Dallas's can-do energy to make the impossible possible for meeting planners and corporations came to life vividly through the passion of locals. The staff of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas, event venues, restaurants, transportation services, charitable organizations, the Dallas sports community and the arts district came together to make this spot a reality. We started December with the Dallas Arts District Community Breakfast in the lobby of the beautiful Meyerson Symphony Center featuring artists Miguel Cervantes and Mike Moise from the Broadway and Chicago casts of HAMILTON. These artists transformed us in a way that only the arts can. Miguel is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and invited two students from Booker T to share the stage with him. Miguel and Mike had us laughing, crying and applauding throughout the event. Thank you to all of you who joined us and especially to Miguel & Mike!
