We are currently at the National Association for Home Care & Hospice conference in Tampa Florida - it's our first time exhibiting in the US so it's a big milestone for dala.care. We're having meaningful conversations with potential customers, connecting with potential partners and just learning so much every day from inspiring presentations and case studies.

We worship caregivers, they are the best people and deserve the best working conditions. Recently we sat down with an early adopter of the app and she gave us fantastic feedback. ... but, she missed seeing the age of her care recipients. A small piece of insight that helps her paint a picture of a person before meeting them for the first time. It was a total egg on the face moment for us when we realized that we had left this one piece of information out of the app designs. But this is exactly what our Friday Rage Fixes are for. We were so ashamed that we fixed it with fists clenched last Friday, but we also dialed it up to 11 and added confetti ?? to the visit screen when the person receiving care has their birthday. It's all in line with our opinion that people in healthcare have had to suffer with bad user experience and no fun in app design for too long. They truly deserve the best and confetti is totally up there when it comes to delivering quality products!
Happy birthday - Friday rage fix ??

Autumn is around the corner and the whole team is assembled after the holidays. We work in two week cycles and plan our work six months ahead, somewhat inspired by the way Linear work. This means that we're introducing the large development milestones from last six months now while we look ahead at priorities for the winter. Last week we deployed our notification infrastructure, notification centers in both apps as well as push notifications for caregivers and care managers. Managing care at scale is perhaps one of the hardest multitasking challenge we have observed, and having dala.care in your corner, making sure that people receiving care have someone show up at the right time and place is a valuable part of our platform. Notifications are the foundation for a lot of the real-time features as well as the Communication theme we got in store going forward. You can read all about the Notifications in our Change Log where we announce new features as they roll out.

This week, our team was thrilled to receive an award from the Union of Economists and Business Academics (FVH Félag vieskipta- og hagfr?einga) for our innovative technology and its impact on society. Just the day before, our President was also presenting awards to municipalities leading the way in adopting the dala.method for home care. It's truly inspiring to regularly meet with our President and receive such prestigious recognition. This acknowledgment motivates us to push further and innovate more. As you can see from the photo, our incredible team has more than doubled in size as we accelerate our efforts. We're excited about the future and committed to continuing our contribution to improving home care. Have you or your community experienced the benefits of the dala.method? Let's connect and share stories! #Innovation #HomeCare #Technology #BusinessGrowth #Teamwork

We also used this opportunity to launch the dala.changelog where anyone can now keep up to date and subscribe to updates on new features and improvements. We recently welcomed three new dala.team.members and are increasing our velocity in revolutionizing the future of home care. So watch this space:

We’re growing into the dala.brand and after a deep journey into the valley of who we are, we have today launched a refreshed look and feel for dala.care. The name dala in Icelandic literally refers to a valley.? It takes a village to care for a person and we come together to do what it takes when a person in our community needs caring for. As we do in all the fjords and small towns around Iceland. Dala also has meaning with the Xhosa tribe in South Africa linked to the action of creating, getting things done, or even making a plan. As we know, quality care starts with a well defined care plan. But let’s go back to the valley. Every person is unique and every day brings a different challenge. So is the dala.brand - we are organic, ever changing and embrace the unpredictable nature of care. Just like every leaf in the valley is unique and alive, our brandmark is not a fixed symbol, but rather a snapshot of how the leaves are captured at any given moment. Each branch of the dala.care universe holds two leaves in different compositions, no sets are the same but all stem from the same root. All the work was done in-house by our brilliant designer Berglind Brá Jóhannsdóttir. So if you happen to see her online or offline in any shape or form, give her a big high-five. This new visual world will continue to grow and we are excited to develop it further to figure out all the ways it will manifest itself. happy.dala.days

Iceland is experiencing another eruption, which puts a dramatic twist on this interview with Finnur, our CEO. Imagine this: an interview literally on the verge of being buried under lava news. This conversation is part of a series highlighting entrepreneurs recognized at the IT awards we received last week and is obviously in Icelandic. Stay tuned for more insights and updates from this fiery situation! https://lnkd.in/dexuQx94
