According to an amended court complaint seen by us, Ben & Jerry's has accused Unilever of trying to oust the ice cream brand's CEO in breach of the two companies' merger agreement. A new study by Cornell University researchers has estimated that more than 900kg of milk per cow was lost in an Ohio dairy herd infected with HPAI H5N1 last year - amounting to financial losses of more than $730,000 over the 62-day period of the investigation. The study also found high rates of transmission in the herd, though not all infected animals became clinically ill. However, those that did show symptoms were at a much higher risk of death and premature removal from the herd.
