Our authentication system has officially been created! We are using rate limiting and caching through Redis (Upstash) to help alleviate traffic from database. Future goals: - When user traffic requires it, implement Redis clusters for horizontal sharding - Replace Redis with Dragonfly when Redis credits run out for 25x the speed for 80% cheaper costs!!

I have decided that for my project (with other members) DailySAT, we will be switching our DNS management to the Cloudflare's system. This service handles over 10 trillion requests per day and is home to about 10 percent of the total internet ???? Here are some reasons why we made the switch from our generic namecheap DNS manager: - much faster than typical managers and since dns is used to find where the ip address is for the website, if faster => performance of web is faster too ???? - we will also use their cdn to make our images load faster (we got a lot of them lol) - DDoS protection - Maximizes uptime (redirects traffic to other servers if there are any issues with the current server) Thank you, Happy early New Years ??

The prototype version for DailySAT is ready! We will be launching in a rolling basis meaning that the current version will undergo significant imporvements to API infra. Currently, the API can be quite slow due to small computation power. However, this WILL change soon with our new workflow ?? Anyway for anyone who would wish to be a beta-tester and try it out, fill out this quick Google Form.
