?? Meet Ben, Our Right-Hand Man at Dail Golf! Ben is one of the most reliable and hardworking people on our team, bringing unmatched dedication and expertise to every project. With 8 years in the golf course maintenance industry, he’s now our Vice President of Golf Course Maintenance Operations and a Class A Golf Course Superintendent. Ben’s journey with us began in 2015, when his path crossed with Geoff’s at a local semi-private facility. Coming from another field, he was quickly captivated by the dynamic, hands-on challenges of golf course maintenance. Ben’s extensive experience spans managing maintenance for multiple 18-hole facilities and establishing both warm and cool season turfgrass. Alongside leading day-to-day operations, he collaborates with our construction team to elevate every course to its full potential. A proud Winston-Salem native, Ben lives with his wife and two kids, bringing his passion for the craft to everything he does here at Dail Golf. We’re grateful to have such a seasoned professional and dedicated team player with us! ????

At Dail Golf, we’re all about keeping your golf experience top-notch year-round, and fall brings a unique set of challenges and opportunities for course care. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how we prepare for the cooler months: Turf Growth Management – As the days get shorter, grass growth naturally slows down. We adjust our mowing schedules and heights to ensure the turf stays healthy without stressing the grass during its slower growth phase. Overseeding – To keep that lush green look, we overseed where we have cool-season grasses that thrive in lower temperatures, giving the course a fresh blanket for fall. Leaf Management – With all the beautiful trees on our courses, fallen leaves are inevitable. Our team stays on top of leaf removal to ensure clear fairways and smooth play! Adjusting Irrigation – As rainfall increases and temperatures cool, we dial back the irrigation systems to avoid over-watering, making sure the turf stays healthy and firm. Fertilization & Pest Control – We apply fertilizers designed for fall growth and pest control treatments to protect the turf as the seasons change.
