Origami Solar Teams Up With Priefert Steel & DAC Robotics To Boost U.S. Solar Supply Chain Origami Solar has launched its first high-tech automated production line for solar module frames at Priefert Steel’s facility in Benton, Arkansas. This is just the beginning, as more production lines are planned. The timing is crucial, with the U.S. government set to impose a 25% tariff on imported steel and aluminum. Machine Tending involves using robotic systems to load and unload materials or parts into a machine, such as CNC machines, injection molding machines, or other manufacturing equipment. This automation process improves efficiency, reduces downtime, and enhances workplace safety. Incorporating secondary part processing operations such as part marking and vision inspection after material unload can increase OEE of the robot cell and improve the ROI on your next machine tending automation project.
