Disconnect to Reconnect is a veteran-run non-profit designed to help veterans reconnect with themselves through outdoor adventure, recreation, and fitness activities. D2R creates, promotes, and leads veteran group outdoor activities that foster a safe place to find themselves again alongside their peers. Research has shown a strong connection between time spent with peers in nature and reduced stress, anxiety, and depression. We believe veterans deserve a fun and engaging peer support system that can provide stability and recovery for those who have gone through the same struggles.
