We were so lucky this week to be able to present a check for $1000 dollars to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - North Dakota Chapter. They were the May Charity of the Month, selected by our own employee-owners. It is amazing to see how much of an impact you have on peoples lives and being able to help out is such a fulfilling moment for our employee-owners. We got the awesome chance today to present 4 Luv of Dog Rescue a check for $1,000! They were our charity of the month, voted by our own employee owners. After seeing the most handsome and beautiful pups today, it was hard for us to not take them home! Every month we donate money to a charity of our employee's choice and for the month and this month they chose the New Life Center! New Life Center and all of the people there are great at helping those in need and providing them with the tools for success. Yesterday we were able to celebrate the retirement of Jerry Brady, one of the original employees of D&M! He has been here for 42 years and is a big reason for our success. Working at an ESOP helps prepare our employees for a great retirement and ensures they will have what they need to be successful after their time at D&M Industries. Congrats Jerry! Today is giving hearts day! Our winners from our recent "Souper" Bowl have chosen their charities to receive a donation in their name. On the left is Tom, our VP of sales. He won best soup and chose the New Life Center. On the right is LeAnn, one of our great production workers. She won best chili and chose the Moorhead Police Athletics and Activities League. Internal Branding is extremely important for companies as it helps employees connect with the brand as well as each other. Recently, we had our employee owners come up with a tagline and logo for the tagline to be used for our internal branding. It was a great opportunity to get everyone involved!
