Our team performed a complete rebuild on this 1500 ton Clearing Press. The 78-ton crown and slide were brought to our facility where we disassembled, cleaned and inspected every component. Due to long OEM lead times, our engineers and machinists reverse engineered and manufactured a new drive shaft, counterbalance brackets, plunger, pinion shaft, and wrist pins. We cleaned and polished the scored threads on the adjustment nuts, adjustment screws, and worm shafts. The gears were put into our mill to verify timing, and we machined the nut housing to set proper nut clearances. We replaced the clutch brake disc, lube lines, air lines, and electrical lines.
