The report continues to echo what those with deep knowledge of the industry have known for a long time; our infrastructure, logistics and operations are not ready for the growth the industry is about to experience. We need to advance our development and manufacturing processes at the same speed as the life saving innovation the industry is producing for patients. We need to increase the early adoption of massive cost saving automation that is available today and streamline how we build therapies. #JPM2025! What an absolute blast! Cytodyme came rolling up in force to San Francisco! I loved getting to network with amazing founders like Andrea Stephany Diaz and old friends who I wish I saw more often James Foster, CPA! We are still developing our product but I felt so validated when we opened the gates this week and started to generate a waitlist of 5+ companies. ??? ?? Happy Thanksgiving! ?? ??? There is so much to be thankful for this year! I have had the privilege to meet so many amazing people like Cheryl and shake hands with Irwin Jacobs, one of the men who made and shaped San Diego for what it is today! I had the privilege to found Cytodyme with Tammy Ogden and pitch how we plan to help biotechs get better therapies to patients faster at incredible events put on by organizations like Connect's Innovation Day and Startup San Diego's Startup Week! We were accepted into and made our way through HomeLab's first ever accelerator cohort and have made such great progress in such a short time getting our new venture off the ground and ready to grow! I had the privilege to make it through my first year at University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management where I have gotten to share my entrepreneurial journey with Cytodyme to new/potential students. I was given the opportunity to lead the Tech Club at UC San Diego as president and be on the leadership team for the Rady Life Science Club. while also serving as the Rady Student Association's VP of Alumni Affairs. UCSD has something special cooking, 5 minutes on campus and you can feel it! So much innovation and entrepreneurial spirit is growing here, San Diego and the world isn't prepared for it! I learned a lot of valuable lessons this year too! As a founder/entrepreneur you can face failure daily but you can't sit in it, you learn what you can and push forward. An example in my life was a pitch competition at San Diego Startup Week where I absolutely FROZE on stage in front of 300+ people and only 60 seconds to explain what Cytodyme does. I failed by almost every definition. I took a second after to evaluate and proceeded to move on with my lesson. A week later Cytodyme accepted a $5000 award from the Sullivan Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation's Daniel Reed Life Science Catalyst Fund. It's not that you get knocked down but how you get back up. I have made so many new friends with such diverse backgrounds and skills. I am BEYOND thankful for each and every one of them. And with so much work to be done zipping all around California for Cytodyme, none of that would be possible without the one person I am most thankful for, my lovely wife (and now also a student at Rady doing amazing things in her own right!)
