We are filled with gratitude after our monthly Mental Health First Aid Learning Community meeting last week! With funding from Kaiser Permanente, we are offering support to MHFA instructors teaching classes throughout Northern California. ? In the meetings we share best practices, navigate challenges, and deepen our sense of connection as MHFA instructors. This month’s discussion focused on cultural responsiveness in MHFA instruction. It is such a joy for our team to bring together this incredible community of instructors—and we are excited to share more takeaways from these conversations in the coming months. Stay tuned!

We have teamed up with our friends at FACES for the Future Coalition to provide QPR and MHFA Trainings to high school students pursuing careers in healthcare. In the spirit of collective care, we are also providing our trainings to the educators and program coordinators who support these amazing young people. It’s a little-known fact that our leadership team S. Brooke Briggance, Jasmine Nakagawa-Wong and Karen Lane used to work with FACES. Through that work, they witnessed the resilience inherent in young people that comes with navigating adversity. We are humbled to work with the students and staff at FACES in this full-circle moment!
