Here’s the social media rundown for the last week of spooky season! Instagram is testing a “chains†feature, where users will be able to share a photo and then allow friends to add to the chain. Additionally, the original poster can delete a photo contribution at any time. Only friends can add to said chain and only people who you follow back can see it. We're coming to the end of October. Let's see what the next few weeks of spooky season have in store in the social and digital media realm. Instagram is allowing carousels with music to be labeled as an IG reel. Previously, all carousels on the feed were grouped with photos and labeled as such through analytics. This update will attract more attention to carousels, as they will be promoted similarly to reels. This is accomplished by users “holding the flip†to see the special story. Autumn is here! Here’s the first fall edition of the social media rundown! Instagram is starting to level up! They will soon introduce a feature to attach links to Reels. Underneath the option to tag users, there will be a way to link to a website – aka no more need to add a “link in bio†CTA! This is such a great feature, allowing users to unclog their Linktrees.
