One week after Kyiv International Cyber Resilience Forum 2025, and it’s time to reflect. I’m genuinely proud of what the Cyber Unit Technologies - CyberUnit.Tech / Institute of Cyber Warfare Research team and our partners have accomplished - bringing together cybersecurity leaders, government officials, and private sector experts in one place to discuss and tackle the most pressing cyber challenges. Some key highlights: ?? Private-public partnership is the only way forward. The forum united experts from global cybersecurity agencies, leading companies, and research institutions to exchange knowledge and discuss how innovation and strategic partnerships can power up national and business cyber resilience. ?? New cyber threats are evolving fast. The forum discussions covered defending critical infrastructure and state institutions in cyberspace, emerging tech risks, hybrid threats, and the critical need for global deterrence. Cyber resilience is just as crucial for businesses — hybrid cyberattacks are not limited to state targets, and companies must learn to adapt to an evolving threat landscape. ?? Practical cybersecurity in action is key. We hosted two special side events - KICRF 2025 CTF and DOT-Chain Bug Bash, where cybersecurity professionals worked on real-world security challenges, identifying vulnerabilities and strengthening critical systems. Kyiv International Cyber Resilience Forum is a unique event in Ukraine. Hosting it in the middle of wartime proves one thing - cybersecurity cooperation is fundamental to building cyber resilience at both national and business levels. Ukraine’s experience serves as a real-world case study, offering valuable lessons for other countries. See you next year!

The Kyiv International Cyber Resilience Forum 2025 has begun On March 11, Kyiv hosts the International Cyber Resilience Forum 2025, themed “Defending Democracy”. The event brings together Ukrainian and international representatives from the public sector, business, the cyber community, technology companies, and leading industry experts to discuss key cybersecurity challenges. The event was opened by Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, who, in his speech, emphasized that modern information and cyber technologies not only unlock limitless opportunities but also present complex challenges and threats. Mastery of these technologies defines not only a state's technological capability but also its security, resilience, and strategic role on the global stage. ?Strengthening cyber resilience is of utmost importance—the ability of information systems to operate in complex and extremely challenging security environments, to restore their resources even under constraints, and to withstand active adversarial opposition. Our priority must be to foster innovation, support startups, and enhance the regulatory landscape to bolster both economic and digital security, ensuring a strong and legal position in the global technological arena,? – stated the NSDC Secretary. Cyber Unit Technologies - CyberUnit.Tech team acted as a technology partner at the international cybersecurity cluster organized by the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center (NCSCC) with the support of CRDF Global This was our first offline event, bringing together high-level official representatives from eight countries. For decision-makers in cybersecurity institutions, we developed tailored interactive TTX (tabletop exercise) scenarios designed to practice coordination in response to cyberattacks. Ukrainian experts led these exercises, taking on leadership and mentoring roles. For technical specialists, we organized a workshop competition on the UnitRange platform, a Ukrainian-developed solution. The attack scenarios, modeled on tactics used by the Russian Federation, were as close to real-world conditions as possible. These exercises are of strategic importance for building a cyber coalition and raising awareness about threats that are, unfortunately, not always evident to all participating nations. Some countries maintain a stance of “neutrality,” failing to fully grasp the scale of the threats posed by the Russian Federation. Only by demonstrating these real dangers can their perspectives on the ongoing war be shifted. Serhii Demediuk Nataliya Tkachuk Mykhailo (Misha) Verych Andrii Nikitenko Rostyslav Kondryk
