Lucy Joshua, a CyberGirl 4.0 shares why it’s vital to donate to #SaveCyberGirlsFellowship “Being a CyberGirl has been a truly life-changing experience, not just for me, but for thousands of young women across Africa. In a couple of months, I have gained invaluable skills, mentorship, and a strong, supportive community, thanks to the incredible efforts of Confidence Staveley, CyberSafe Foundation, and everyone who has supported this impactful program through donations and encouragement. However, funding challenges now threaten the intake of talented young women for the next cohort. We are deeply grateful for all the support received so far, and I’m humbly asking for more support to ensure that other young women get the same opportunity I did. Your support matters!?? We’re proud to share that our Founder and Executive Director, Confidence Staveley, proudly represented CyberSafe Foundation as the only African organization invited to the prestigious World Economic Forum Annual Cybersecurity Meeting in Geneva, Switzerland. Over four impactful days, she joined global leaders to discuss critical cybersecurity challenges and solutions. ? Reflecting on the World Economic Forum Annual Cybersecurity Meeting, she remarked, "Cybersecurity is a global challenge, and participating in this global meeting has been an opportunity to both contribute and learn from other global leaders in a way that improves future cyber outcomes." ? A key takeaway from Confidence’s time at the meeting was the alarming rise of AI-powered scammers. Large scam operations are being replaced with automated AI agents, making phishing and social engineering more sophisticated and prevalent. As a result, "identity theft" is now the leading personal cyber risk. ? This takeaway emphasizes the importance of the work we do at CyberSafe Foundation, empowering people with the knowledge and tools to navigate these evolving threats. ? Staying informed about cybersecurity trends is critical to protecting yourself. Stay connected with us to learn how to protect yourself and your loved ones from these growing risks. Follow us for insights, tips, and updates as we continue to champion cybersecurity awareness and resilience! ? #CyberSafeFoundation #Cybersecurity #WEF2024

Have you noticed unusual battery drainage, unexpected behavior like random shutdowns, or odd noises during calls? Maybe your data usage has spiked, or unfamiliar apps have appeared on your phone? These could be signs of spyware lurking in your device. If your phone is infected with spyware, follow these steps: 1. Run a trusted mobile security scan to detect and remove spyware. 2. Delete any unknown or suspicious apps immediately. 3. Reset your phone to factory settings (after backing up important data). 4. Regularly update your phone’s operating system and apps to patch security holes. 5. Enable two-factor authentication for important accounts and avoid working with sensitive information until the issue is resolved. 6. Be cautious of links, attachments, and texts from unknown senders. Tag a friend below to see this and remember to save it for reference. #CyberSecurityTips
