ONCD’s next #FacesOfCyber spotlight is Dominic Ragghianti. Dominic is from Pittsburgh, PA and is passionate about improving digital defense in operational technology. In his role as a Cyber Analyst, he helps identify cyber vulnerabilities for industrial firms like manufacturers and utilities. He has a CySA+ certification in cyber incidence response and procedures and previously trained through an IT Registered Apprenticeship program.

ONCD is honoring Rick Bruckner as part of #FacesOfCyber. Rick’s previous public service as a 911 dispatcher inspired him to continue protecting people, this time via a career in cyber. His unforgettable experiences with heartbreaking calls from cyber attack victims led him to go back to school to study cybersecurity. Rick is currently working to earn certifications through courses at the Pennsylvania Cybersecurity Center while also pursuing a bachelor’s degree through Full Sail University.

Today, ONCD along with CISA, released the Playbook for Strengthening Cybersecurity in Federal Grant Programs for Critical Infrastructure. This will help grant-making agencies incorporate cybersecurity into their grant programs. The playbook will further the National Cybersecurity Strategy Implementation Plan by providing resources and tools for cybersecurity requirements into federal grant programs. Today, Director Coker was in Rhode Island alongside former Congressman Jim Langevin, Commissioner Infante-Green, Governor Dan McKee, Congressman Gabe Amo and additional local leaders to announce that Rhode Island is the first state to sign up every public school with a free federal resource to better protect students. He attended the Cybersecurity Education Summit hosted by Rhode Island Department of Education at Cranston High School East.
