An interactive day with drones for our #cybersecurity students, as Alma Oracevic hosted their masterclass on Securing the Skies: Cybersecurity Fundamentals for UAVs. This hands-on session focused on understanding and assembling drones, and later they'll engage in a simulated? cybersecurity attack on drones.

Interdisciplinary centre for doctoral training (CDT) for a new generation of researchers to proactively anticipate and address the challenges of security and resilience across the boundaries of blended infrastructures. Based at the Universities of Bristol and Bath, our 4-year unique interdisciplinary PhD programme provides you with an immersive training experience with the opportunity to learn from experts drawn from the two universities, industry and research partners as a member of an interdisciplinary cohort of research students. Our approach is fundamentally different from regular research training. Building on the successes of our TIPS-at-Scale programme, and as a member of an interdisciplinary cohort, students learn from leading experts within multiple disciplines, including psychology, management, engineering, sociology and computer science. This approach provides a holistic understanding that is more attuned to the realities of tackling cyber security problems across complex interconnected IT, OT and IIoT systems.

Wonderful work Jessie, great to see our CDT students involved with exciting, essential research!
I was privileged to spend last week at the seminar titled “Guardians of the Galaxy: Protecting Space Systems from Cyber Threats†at Schloss Dagstuhl in Germany. I joined 42 global experts in securing space systems to partake in global collaboration. It was amazing to immerse myself in the world of cyber security for space systems and learn about key trends and their security implications. I left feeling excited to continue research in this fundamental area. Thank you so much to the organisers Ali Abbasi Gregory Falco, LEED AP Jill Slay Daniel Fischer for arranging this insightful event!

I am delighted to share my recent publication: "The Sendai Framework and Satellite Security". The paper is part of a special issue for the International Journal of #Disaster #Risk Science to celebrate the 10th Year Anniversary of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030 #SFDRR, an international framework aiming to tackle global disaster risks.
