On Friday 21 March?we're hosting our Online Taster Afternoon?for members of the community who are?under-represented in the field of cyber security?and/or come from a non-traditional educational route/background and interested in postgraduate research opportunities. I am delighted to share my recent publication: "The Sendai Framework and Satellite Security". The paper is part of a special issue for the International Journal of #Disaster #Risk Science to celebrate the 10th Year Anniversary of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030 #SFDRR, an international framework aiming to tackle global disaster risks. Thank you to Ilan Kelman for your support with this paper. #Satellites have often been fundamental for recovering from #disasters, but how do we manage a disaster which emerges from disruption to vital satellite services? In the paper, I cover: - Satellite #threats - Potential for further incorporation of satellite disruption to the SFDRR - Lessons from the SFDRR towards a coordinated global response to widespread satellite #disruption.
