? Breaking Ground on a Brighter Future! ? We’re thrilled to see construction officially underway on the Cy-Hope Baseball Complex, thanks to our incredible partners at Owrey Construction, LLC! This new facility will be home to Dierker’s Champs, providing baseball instruction and team experiences to economically disadvantaged youth in Cy-Fair ISD Title I schools. Together, we’re building more than just fields—we’re building opportunities, community, and hope.

As we reflect on the past year, we also honor Lynda Dierker's remarkable 13 years as Cy-Hope's inaugural Executive Director. Her visionary leadership and passion have left an indelible mark on our organization and the community we serve. While we will deeply miss her inspiring presence, we eagerly welcome Theresa Fauser as she leads Cy-Hope into an exciting new chapter. Thank you to Community Impact for this thoughtful Q&A!

Last week we had lunch at Minute Maid Park with the #AstrosGolfFoundation to celebrate another year of Birdies for Charity! We're excited to share that we were this year's first runner-up, raising over $225k for our programs and receiving an additional $15,000 from Halliburton ??

Yesterday we broke ground on the new Cy-Hope Youth Baseball Complex in partnership with Energy Capital Credit Union and Houston Astros Foundation. The new complex will serve as home for the Dierker’s Champs, our baseball league serving economically disadvantaged students at Title 1 schools in CFISD. Under the direction of former Houston Astros all-star pitcher and manager Larry Dierker, the program’s mission is to transform the lives of kids by providing the best baseball instruction possible in a positive and encouraging environment, helping them grow in character, discipline, and sportsmanship. These new fields will provide a dedicated space for our young players, offering them an immersive experience that mirrors the standards of professional play, and instilling a sense of belonging, confidence, and hope for a brighter future! Cy-Hope celebrates MacKenzie Scott’s Yield Giving election of 361 organizations to receive $640 million for their work with people and in places experiencing the greatest need in the United States. While Cy-Hope did not advance to the final round of awardees, we were proud to make the first round of 1,000 organizations selected and to participate in the peer-review phase. We commend Ms. Scott’s commitment to making transformational gifts for general operating funds to organizations throughout the U.S. and look forward to future funding opportunities. We encourage you to take a minute to review the organizations receiving funding in this round and celebrate the amazing work they are doing in their communities!
