Proud to share that the The Cxmmunity Foundation, in partnership with @alabamacollective and RCX Sports Foundation, hosted an exciting HBCU Esports Tournament during the Magic City Classic, featuring EA Sports’ College Football 25! This event offered students from Alabama’s HBCUs a unique chance to showcase their gaming skills, connect with tech industry leaders, and explore career pathways in STEM and gaming. Amazing morning at #UnrealFest. Our student #gamejam showcase. Students from #Digipen and universities across the country created rocket racing maps during our Sunday game jam at DigiPen Institute of Technology. So grateful for all the incredible creators and Epic staff that joined us to provide feedback and interact with this awesome group of students. Let’s goooooo!!!!!

This past week, I attended the DigiPen Institute of Technology x Cxmmunity Media Game Jam and #UnrealFest Seattle 2024! I represented Thrive Scholars throughout the week and gained many opportunities to network with tech companies and creators alike! For the Game Jam, our team created a neo futuristic Rocket Racing map called "Trust Fall", using Unreal Editor for Fortnite #UEFN! Due to programming limitations with Rocket Racing, I helped to design the track and provided edits to ensure a better player experience! It was really good to work with students from NC A&T on this game in under 12 hours! Unreal Fest was a very insightful experience, as it allowed me to learn potential skills and the latest advancements of Unreal Engine! It has given me the confidence to continue on my path of using Epic Games' products within my portfolio, as they are becoming the business standard in terms of game development, architecture, and automotive design! I would love to thank Oluwasomi Ogunsuada, Steve Isaacs ?? FallCUE, and others at Epic Games for giving me the opportunity to come out to Seattle and participate in these events! I would also like to thank Ian Southwell and others at Cleverlike Studios, Inc. for organizing the game jam! This was one of the best experiences I have ever had!
