We're excited to share the Community Innovation Network's report from our November 2023 CWRU Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC) Community Dinner. The NAC presented the report and recommendations to Case Western Reserve University President Eric Kaler in February and, are now actively moving towards implementation. Those of you who attended the dinner and/or completed the "Good Neighbor" survey (check out https://lnkd.in/eJ3E5KaC) and opted to dig more deeply into this work will be contacted as plans and activities develop. The Office of Local Government and Community Relations serves as a liaison between Case Western Reserve University and the local governments and communities of Northeast Ohio. We collect and disseminate information about the university’s collective value and instrumental role in the local community. Our office identifies, updates and promotes the university’s extensive inventory of community outreach programs and partnerships throughout the Greater Cleveland region. We facilitate all public inquiries seeking university partnerships and services, coordinate the university’s response to local government and community issues, as well as assist other campus departments on issues of local concern. Mission Engage and strengthen relationships with residents, community partners, local government officials, and civic stakeholders to advance Case Western Reserve’s vision of community engagement and investment. Vision Be a “Good Neighbor” to our surrounding communities by deepening our presence in the neighborhoods, welcoming more neighbors to campus, connecting residents to CWRU resources and providing CWRU faculty and staff opportunities to connect with resources and residents in the community. We will provide a significant impact to the community through the university’s investment in improving the health, economic, and education outcomes in our surrounding, priority neighborhoods.

Dear Provost Scholars Family! We are ecstatic to announce our next event for The Health and Wellness Series, a collaboration with the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCCC) and the East Cleveland Concerned Pastors (ECCP). The event “Tackling Prostate Cancer: How Football Rivals Beat The Odds” is this Thursday, February 27th, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. We are thrilled to have Mr. Arnold Franklin, Mr. Jody Eric Matthews, Mr. Branson Wright, Dr. Gary Schwartz, and Mr. Tyler Weisent as our speakers this month!
