Big win for NAHB: A Texas court issued a nationwide injunction against the DOL's 2024 Overtime Rule, keeping the salary threshold for exempt employees at the pre-2024 level of $35,568. NAHB Chairman Carl Harris hailed the ruling, saying it prevents bureaucratic overreach and upholds labor laws. The decision challenged the DOL’s attempt to prioritize salary over duties for exemption, citing the need for formal rulemaking.
