It's the first weekend of spring! As we reflect on the importance of freshwater resources (yesterday was #WorldWaterDay after all), Cuyahoga County recognizes the important work so many individuals and organizations have done over the years to restore the Cuyahoga River and our great Lake Erie. Cuyahoga County’s #FreshWaterInstitute is proud to work with partners across the community to strengthen our region’s culture of freshwater stewardship through education and research, economic development, and advocacy. Earlier this week, we celebrated the groundbreaking of Gordon Crossing, a new 54-unit mixed-income housing development in the historic Hough neighborhood. Led by Sheila M. Wright, Co-Founder, President, and Managing Partner of Frontline Development Group and in partnership with Woda Cooper Companies, Inc., this thoughtfully designed four-story building will offer residents excellent access to jobs, amenities, and public transportation. It will provide 42 two-bedroom and 12 three-bedroom apartments. Cuyahoga County provided $600,000 from the U.S. Treasury's Emergency Rental Assistance Funds. #Development #CommunityDevelopment
