The exterior envelope at the HSS Kellen Tower project has officially topped out. While the project is not yet complete, this milestone marks a significant achievement for CMI and our partner AECOM Tishman. Project Update: The exterior envelope for the 450 11th Ave project has been topped out for several months now. These photos, courtesy of the design team, illustrate the complexity of the unitized curtainwall. Custom Metalcrafters, Inc. (CMI) provided a single-source solution for the design, engineering, fabrication, and installation on all envelope systems for this project. CMI's experience and expertise correlates with our ability to deliver another high-quality product. We are proud to be a part of the 450 11th Ave project and look forward to the grand opening.

Last Thursday, July 11, The Bronx Museum officially broke ground on our transformative $33 million renovation designed by award-winning architectural practice, Marvel ?? This project will create the world-class arts facility the people of The Bronx deserve and the Museum needs to further elevate and expand access to its vital free arts programming. Marvel 's design will seamlessly unite the Museum's buildings into one recognizable campus; create a continuous and fully accessible gallery loop; reorient the main entrance to the highly visible corner of 165th St and Grand Concourse; and add a new triple-height lobby space with an adjoining cafe. During construction, the Museum's North Wing remains open at regular hours—Wednesday through Sunday from 11AM to 6PM—with free admission for everyone to all exhibitions, events, and activities! This renovation was made possible thanks to: ?? Funding and support from public officials and agencies including Bronx Borough President Hon. Vanessa L. Gibson, MPA (She, Her, Hers, Ella), NYC Council Member for District 16 Althea Stevens, Speaker of the New York City Council Adrienne Adams, The Bronx Delegation of the New York City Council, the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services, and so many others. ?? Exciting progress update from our project site at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS).?The curtain wall installation is well underway at The Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Tower, a significant 12-story waterfront expansion project at the HSS main campus located on Manhattan's Upper East Side. This new addition, designed by EwingCole, is set to span 100,000 square feet over FDR Drive, seamlessly connecting to the main hospital wing via a sky bridge.
