One of the things that CFR has taken pride in over the years is introducing new employees into the manufacturing trade and making manufacturing careers more accessible. This is exemplified by a recent big win from one of CFR's own. Three years ago, CFR welcomed a new employee that displayed great character and a desire to learn. The employee lacked experience in the trade however excelled quickly during his time in CFR's Vocational Training program. Establishing himself as talented, dedicated, safety-minded employee, he grew exponentially over the course of just three years. On October 22nd, he participated in the Mid-State Technical College Welding Competition in Marshfield and brought home 1st place in the professional division. A challenging recruitment/retention environment was on the way prior to the pandemic and intensified during it. Although improving, it is still one of the key factors getting in the way of organizations accomplishing their goals. Finding unique ways to attract employees across the spectrum of industries is key.

Custom Fabricating & Repair, Inc. recently assumed control of the property located at 2411 S. Hume Avenue in Marshfield. The project proved to be a huge undertaking, clearing the property and returning it to a functional state. Additionally, we are pleased that the work to improve this ~4 acre property enhances the quality of the Marshfield community.

Although the weather forced a move indoors just 48 hours before the event, CFR hosted 2,300 community members at its 2nd annual Trunk R' Treat bash in the newly acquired warehouse property on Hume Ave. Attendees enjoyed 45 trunk r' treat vehicles, the Jerry Schmitt duo, door prizes, food/beverage and a great costume contest. Also collected a haul of PB&J for the local area United Way. This event has quickly become a Halloween staple in the Marshfield community.
