We want to amplify the voices of our Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women. This has been an ongoing genocide since the arrival of the first colonizers & has continued to disproportionately & violently impact our indigenous women. We stand in solidarity & will not allow their voices to be silenced! Yes it is Women’s History Month but this is a continued genocide against MMIW long before the creation of this month in the late 70’s & 80’s. We strongly encourage our communities to honor our women everyday of the year, for they’ve contributed & continue to hold our villages together. 15 community members got 1 on 1 consultations with a lawyer last week at our Clean Your Record Event! Part 1 was a general review of the process, explaining how some charges are eligible for dismissal & which charges aren’t. The 2nd portion was the consultation piece. We made sure everyone got a meal & had all their questions answered.
