A Message from M. Kendall Ludwig, president and principal designer: I started CurlyRed in 2007 with the desire to create art. Usable art. My vision included the following statement: “...to lay bare the beauty in ordinary things is a great challenge.” I still believe that, and it still drives me to create the best work I can. But it has taken me several years to realize that creating “usable art” is only one half of the challenge. As our business has grown and we’ve developed deeper relationships with more businesses, I’ve realized that there is an even more important challenge ahead. I see, over and over again, other design firms and advertising agencies holding their work ransom for sums impossible for anyone to afford, except the largest and wealthiest companies. Something seems fundamentally wrong about that. There are far too many small business and non-profits with great vision but a limited marketing budget. Don’t they deserve the same access to good design? I believe in good design for everyone. So if you’re looking for fresh, captivating, and timeless design solutions for you or your company, and you want it at a fair price from a design firm that cares about all of its clients, then you’ve come to the right place.

Featured Client: Mountain Air Linen Services Today we are featuring Mountain Air Linen Services: a premier linen service catering to the needs of vacation homeowners in the beautiful Deep Creek Lake area. Their extensive range of high-quality sheets and towels will ensure that your guests feel pampered and comfortable throughout their stay. They take pride in delivering exceptional customer satisfaction, which is why we specialize in self-managed short-term rentals like Airbnb, VRBO, and Houfy listings. CurlyRed was thrilled to work with our friends at Mountain Air Linen Services to create new branding, an identity system and a brand new web presence! We decided to go with a clean and soothing type treatment and color palette with a modern linen icon for the branding. Using that direction, CurlyRed then created business cards, letterhead, envelope and an email signature design. Then we took that look and feel and extended it to a fully custom and responsive, single page WordPress website, with clean, welcoming imagery and icons to quickly and easily explain Mountain Air Linen Services' process and products. There are featured testimonials and a simple contact form to make it effortless for new leads to get in touch! Here's what Rick and Amy Egress, owners of Mountain Air Linen Services had to say, just 10 days after their new website went live: ”Our website is just 10 days old today and we wanted to share a stat that impressed us a good bit.
