Curie Environmental Services is a full service radioactive waste management company protecting people and the environment from radiation and radioactive waste. Curie is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Curie is the first company in the United States to offer a recycling program for Am-241 containing smoke alarms generated by home owners and industry. Our CuriePack program consists of a 5 gallon accumulation container, compliant DOT markings and a prepaid UPS shipping label. When a CuriePack is received at our facility, the plastic and printed circuit boards are recycled and the Am-241 foil is managed at a NRC licensed facility for final disposition. Curie also offers radioactive waste/materials brokerage services along with radiation surveys and NORM management.
