Curative Connections and ProSolutions Inc. staff gathered yesterday for a Tastes of Traditions potluck, enjoying dishes connected to employees’ cultures and traditions with family and friends. Thank you to everyone who brought food and shared the story behind their dish, and thank you to our #DEIB Committee for hosting! We celebrated another important tradition – President and CEO Jeanne Stangel’s birthday!

For #WhyCurativeWednesday, we'd like to tell you about our 2024 Recognition Awards Transportation Volunteer of the Year, Mary Kay Jauquet. After retiring, Mary Kay was looking for something more to do when she noticed our vehicles around town. She started serving as a volunteer driver soon after. "She's everything you could want in a volunteer," says Director of Transportation Tina Whetung, "I wish I could be more like her." Mary Kay is known around Curative for her humor and compassion. Members love getting to talk with her during rides, and she's able to make a big difference during these trips by being a bright spot in their day. "It's the most rewarding thing I've ever done in my life," Mary Kay says. Congratulations, Mary Kay! Your impact on the lives of those we serve is remarkable, and we are so appreciative of you! For #VeteransDay, we hosted a celebration to honor the veterans who are a part of our Curative family. Marine Corps Veteran Lou LeCalsey led us in acknowledging each veteran in attendance and the branch they served, and they received cards from Green Bay Schools students. Members and staff shared music and poems to show how grateful we are for our veterans who dedicated their lives to protecting our country.

Today Karen Richards celebrates her retirement from her role as office assistant for our Senior Training and Employment (STEP) program! Since 2016, Karen has been the cornerstone of our STEP team, contributing to our success with her organization, vast knowledge and delicious baked goods. If we are looking for something, Karen knows where it is! We will miss her terribly but wish her all the best for a well-deserved retirement.
