This past week wraps up my 1 Year Anniversary of moving to Tampa and joining the CURA family and it’s hard for me to put into words how incredible of a year it’s been.
I wanted to take the time to give out a few shoutouts, starting with our owners Alex Critcher and Eddie Santucci for giving me the opportunity in the first place. The vision they’ve put into action by starting CURA is not only inspiring, but motivating.
Secondly, my boss - Ignacio Torano. To put it in the simplest of terms, this man is an absolute psycho in the best way possible - and everyone who knows him would say the exact same thing. I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever seen someone be so committed, so selfless, and so driven to help everyone succeed as much as he is. I’ll leave you with this quick story to demonstrate how much this man cares:
Last year when Tampa got hit with Hurricanes Helene & Milton within just a few weeks of each other, Iggy’s house was flooded with 5+ feet of water and his family had to evacuate. To make matters even more difficult, he and his wife just welcomed a newborn baby a couple weeks before the hurricanes. Yet you would’ve never known the situation he was in. While the region dealt with flooding & power outages - he was still making sure every employee, and every customer, at CURA was taken care of, as if the hurricanes never even happened. If anything, I’m downplaying the scenario.
And lastly, shoutout to ALL of the CURA family - employees and customers alike. For someone who went from spending their whole life in Cincinnati, to packing up everything and moving to Tampa in the blink of an eye - y’all have been everything someone in my position could ask for - Thank You. I couldn’t have asked for a better home or a better group of people to work with everyday.
Company culture is everything - it’s the catalyst to individual success - and the culture at CURA is unlike any other in the logistics industry, I truly believe that. Whether you’re a potential customer or a potential employee - reach out to us and learn about how you can join the team and have the same experience I’ve been lucky enough to have!
